Silica for Chromatography is accomplished by using silica as the stationary phase in high performance, liquid chromatography (HPLC), ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) and hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) industrial applications. The silica core-type particles are known to achieve higher separation efficiencies than porous particles due to their narrow particle size distributions (PSD). Our high-purity, monodisperse silica with narrow size distribution peak enhances chromatography due to narrow size distribution. The narrow size distribution of silica results in a higher efficiency and consistency due to bed and flow uniformity. The bed uniformity results in a reduced voids and reduced channeling in the silica bed, thus achieving longer life and proposed smaller plate heights. The silica nano-particles are surfaced with silanol groups supporting HILIC in normal phase and HPLC stationary phases. Our Silica is provided as raw material to create a non-polar, functionalized surface, C18, C8, etc., for reversed phase HPLC. Call for sizes needed from the high nanaometers to lower micron sizes.

SiO2 Spheres are provided with NIST traceable size accuracy with a narrow size peak and peak standard deviation. SiO2 particles, often referred to as Silica spheres, are highly accurate, monodisperse, NIST Traceable, particle size standards from 40 nanometers to 2 microns (2000 nm). SiO2 Nano-particles from 40 nm to 99 nm are suspended in ethanol to maintain monodispersity, while SiO2 nano-particles from 100 nm to 2000 nm are suspended in 15ml DI Water solution. SiO2 particles have a refractive index quite close to polystyrene latex spheres, making silica nanoparticles useful for size calibration with wafer inspection systems, TEMs and SEMs using high powered lasers.

Applied Physics provides Silica nano particle size standards used to produce wafer calibration standards and silica contamination wafer standards. Bulk Silica is also available for industry requirements such as Portland cement, CMP slurries, Chemical Mechanical Polish, CMP and optical lens polish. Wafer Inspection Systems, SSIS, such as KLA-Tencor SP1, KLA-Tencor SP2, TopCon, ADE and Hitachi Wafer Inspection Systems can use SiO2 particles for size calibration. Silica Nanoparticles are provided in sizes from 40nm to 2 microns to calibrate the size response curves of the respective wafer inspection systems and laser particle counters. Industries providing Portland cement, CMP slurries, pharmaceutical drug delivery use silica nanoparticles from 2um to 30um. Silica particles are made to very tight and accurate size peaks to support lens polish, cmp polish, size calibration etc. Silica particles are spherical and man made to specific diameters, where as most other process particles are non-spherical.
